Dante's is a Portland institution. Music is usually hard-core to punk to metal to Richard Cheese. The live music experience can be good, provided the setup doesn't include the two-person tables in front of the stage. The bars are usually jammed, and the 2nd bar in the other room features a screen to let you watch the show when you can't force your way into the main room. Smoking is usually allowed, which may result in some accidental burning if the band is big and the crowd is large and rowdy. Pizza is tasty. --BR Staff
